Five Jalan Sultan shophouses gutted in early morning fire

KUALA LUMPUR: Five shophouses were destroyed in a blaze along Jalan Sultan here early Saturday morning.

Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Firdaus Khan said 37 firefighters from Pudu, Hang Tuah, Sri Hartamas, Sentul and Keramat arrived at the scene at about 5.05am to tackle the blaze after a distress call was received 10 minutes earlier.
