JOHOR BARU: A former chef was sentenced by the High Court here to eight years’ imprisonment for unintentionally murdering a Bangladeshi man following an altercation two years ago.
The accused Ahmad Izwan Mohamad Yatim, 30, admitted to the offence after the charge was reduced from Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries a mandatory death sentence for murder, to Section 304(B) here on Sunday.
