Fahmi Reza, three others arrested over #KitaSemuaPenghasut t-shirts


PETALING JAYA:  Activist Fahmi Reza and three others have been arrested by police for selling #KitaSemuaPenghasut t-shirts at a shopping complex.

Fahmi was seen promoting the t-shirts at the KL Alternative Bookfest (KLAB) at Publika, Kuala Lumpur earlier on Saturday prior to his arrest.

He posted on his Facebook page that he was being brought to Sentul police headquarters for questioning by several policemen.

"Five to six police officers came to my booth at KLAB and seized my IC, two #KitaSemuaPenghasut Tshirts and a banner with a clown face.They told me that I was being investigated under the Sedition Act," he said on Facebook on Saturday.

It is learnt that the other three arrested are event organiser Pang Khee Teik, community activist Lew Pik-Svonn and comic artist Arif Rafhan Othman.

Fahmi has got in trouble with the law previously for publishing images of a clown-faced Najib which he designed.

He is to be charged under Section 233(1) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1988 next week.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy confirmed Fahmi's arrest when contacted.
