High-rise dwellers can also benefit from rainwater harvesting


In Kuala Lumpur, the rainwater harvesting system is compulsory in the development order since 2011 for bungalow and semi-detached houses but Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has made it compulsory for all new developments.

Aura-Lite (M) Sdn Bhd business development director Rachel Koh, who is in the rainwater harvesting industry, said when the system was introduced to the market, most homeowners were not keen to install it.
