163 summonses issued on first day of JPJ ops

IPOH: The Perak Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued 163 summonses to motorists on the first day of its crackdown on vehicles with fancy number plates, running strobe lights and unapproved high intensity discharge (HID) headlamps.

Its enforcement chief Mohd Ariff Abdul Rahman said the opera­­tion was conducted in major towns such as in Ipoh, Gerik, Tapah, Kuala Kangsar and Teluk Intan on Saturday.
