Malaysians simply incorrigible

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians have proven themselves to be an incorrigible lot. Not only can’t they discard their habit of dumping tonnes of rubbish down the toilet, the amount they threw had gone up by 17%.

They flushed down 60,000 tonnes of garbage last year, enough to fill 25 Olympic-sized swimming pools. Within the first seven months of this year, they increased this by another five more “pools”.
