A 12-year-old girl from Sungai Besar, Selangor became pregnant after she had been raped by her relative since December last year. The victim’s parents only found out about the incident after noticing the girl’s expanding waistline. Only then, the girl revealed that she had been raped while visiting her relative in Hutan Melintang, Perak. The latest incident happened last month. A police report has been lodged.

A 17-year-old girl was punched by a group of women after she was accused of having an affair with one of the women’s husband. The incident happened at a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur at about 5pm on Monday. They then ran away with the victim’s belongings. Police are investigating the case.

Panic reigned in Malacca among pedestrians and motorists when a bull was spotted roaming around the city centre. The animal was captured after two hours by Fire and Rescue Department officers when it was resting along the sidewalk of a shoplot in Gajah Berang. Two Malaysians have successfully completed the challenge of walking 562km from Kelantan to Kuantan, Pahang, to show their spirit of celebrating the Merdeka month. Security guard Abdul Majid Abdul Hamid, 57, and 18 year-old Zafikah Azmi started their 10-day march on Aug 4 and reached their destination at Stadium Darul Makmur on Wednesday. Abdul Majid had previously walked solo from Kuantan to Stadium Shah Alam, Selangor, after Pahang won the Malaysia Cup last year.
