Panasonic unveils RM1.7bil smart township


FUJISAWA (Japan): Panasonic Corp unveiled its 60 billion yen (RM1.71bil) smart and sustainable township, a 100-year venture, to the international press to showcase its capabilities as it plans to go into property development on a regional scale.

The success of the flagship town would enable it to push its business-to-business (B2B) strategy in a greater way, Fujisawa SST Management Co president Tomohiko Miyahara said at the grand opening presentation of the Fujisawa Sustainable Smart Town.
