Record-breaking ball drop at Lebua, Bangkok for New Year

Bangkok Ball Drop will be held on the night of Dec 31 to mark the new icon of Bangkoks countdown which will be celebrated with a 2.1 meter ball drop from a 15m pole and the extravagant fireworks along Chao Phraya River.

RECORD-BREAKING fall to happen on Dec 31! If you’re in Bangkok head over to the Tower Club, Lebua for it marks the beginning of the New Year with their second ever ball drop. The seven-foot (2.13m) ball drop will be the highest in the world from an alfresco restaurant, Sirocco – a staggering height of 872 feet (266m).

The Bangkok Ball Drop will be attracting interest from more than a mile across the city, as it opens up to a shower of fireworks illuminating the New Year sky.

Besides indulging in the highlights of Bangkok’s New Year’s Eve festivities, the guests of Sirocco, Mezzaluna, Breeze and Distil, Lebua’s four skyscraper restaurants and bars, will be served with a specialized celebratory cuisine and a clink of champagne with Deepak Ohri, the renowned CEO of Lebua Hotels and Resorts.
