US announces visa restriction policy for people complicit in cybercrime

July ⁠23 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary ⁠of State ‌Marco Rubio on Thursday announced a new ​visa restriction ⁠policy that ⁠he said would ⁠target ‌individuals responsible ⁠for or complicit in ​cybercrime ‌and cyber-enabled crimes.

Immediate ⁠family ​members of individuals engaged ⁠in such activities ​may also be subjected to visa ⁠restrictions, Rubio added in a statement released ​by ⁠the U.S. State ​Department.
