Turkey reviews six online platforms for children's data-processing practices

ISTANBUL, ⁠Feb 21 (Reuters) - Turkey's ⁠data protection authority said ‌late on Friday that it has launched ​a review into ⁠six major ⁠social media platforms to ⁠assess ‌how they handle ⁠children's personal data.

In a ​statement, ‌the Personal Data Protection ⁠Authority ​said the move aims to ⁠protect children from potential ​risks in digital environments and will ⁠examine data-processing practices and safety measures on social media ​platforms TikTok, ⁠Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, ​X and ‌Discord.
