Meta’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot appears to be rolling out to Malaysian users, with some reporting access to it on the company’s platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

LifestyleTech's checks found that not all have gained access to the feature on all Meta-offered services, indicating that this may be a staggered release for the feature.

Those with access will see it appear as a button and search bar within the main WhatsApp chat page, and as a search bar in Instagram chats.

Users are able to ask Meta AI questions, generate images, and perform other tasks through Meta AI, though there currently doesn’t seem to be an option to disable the feature.

When messaged, Meta AI appears as a regular chat, allowing users to interact with it like they would with any other contact. It also comes with preset prompts and suggested questions.

This includes options such as asking Meta AI to tell a joke, recommend movies, or offer job-seeking and relationship advice.

Previously, the chatbot was only available in select countries.
