PETALING JAYA: Public Bank has announced that it will soon be increasing the minimum operating system requirements to Android 12 and iOS 16 for its MyPB mobile banking app via an upcoming update.

The announcement, made through the bank's website, states that the change is intended to "ensure the continued security and optimal performance of MyPB App".

The bank further advises customers to check the current version of their device's operating system and update it accordingly if a newer version is available.

No exact date has been provided by Public Bank on when the update will be rolled out. More information on the update and how to update a device's operating system is available on the Public Bank announcement webpage

Public Bank previously discontinued its old PB Engage MY app in August this year, with customers required to switch to MyPB in order to continue accessing mobile banking services.
