PETALING JAYA: MyDigital ID is now the sole log-in method for Malaysians to access the MyBayar PDRM app.

The announcement was made today (Oct 1) by MyDigital ID on X (formerly known as Twitter).

For non-Malaysians or companies/agencies, the usual sign-in method is still available where they can use an existing user ID and password.

The MyBayar PDRM app allows users to check and settle any police traffic summonses, as well as purchase accident investigation documents directly through the platform.

MyDigital ID CEO Nik Hisham Nik Ibrahim previously announced in a statement in August that the MyBayar PDRM and the MyJPJ apps will require MyDigital ID for logins.

"MyDigital ID as a Single Login promises a new era of digital identity verification that is simpler, safer, and more transparent," he said in the Aug 19 statement.

MyDigital ID is an initiative implemented by Mimos under the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry. It serves as an national identification management system to authenticate users for online transactions, allowing them to access government services with a single ID.

The private sector, including banks, are also expected to adopt the system.

Malaysians can sign up for a MyDigital ID through the MyDigital ID app or kiosks available at locations listed on its website
