Threads, Meta’s latest platform, has seen its daily active users increase slowly but surely since its launch in July 2023. In fact, the social network now boasts more daily active users than Elon Musk’s X platform, millions more.

In just a few months, Threads has managed to overtake X, the social network formerly known as Twitter that was renamed after Musk took it over. According to the latest data collected by Apptopia in April 2024, the Meta group’s platform boasts an average of 28 million daily active users. On X, some 22 million users opened the app at least once a day over the same period, a 21% lower usage rate than Threads, Business Insider points out.
