Disney+ Hotstar will be hiking the subscription fee for its quarterly Premium plan from RM54.90 to RM79.90 next month on April 24, marking an RM25 increase in cost on the streaming plan.

Before the price adjustment, users on the plan would be paying an average of RM18.30 per month, which will now be around RM26.60 following the shift.

The streaming service will also be introducing a new monthly plan for Malaysian users on the same date, with two tiers: the Basic plan priced at RM24.90 a month, and a monthly Premium plan for RM39.90.

Both subscription tiers also come with the option for an annual plan, priced at RM214.90 a year for the Basic tier, and RM289.90 for the Premium tier.

The main differences between the tiers include maximum device logins (three devices on Basic; 10 devices on Premium), concurrent streams (one screen on Basic; three on Premium), and maximum video quality (1080p on Basic, 4K on Premium).

Users subscribed to Disney+ Hotstar via Astro will have their plan automatically converted to the Premium tier following April 24, while those subscribed through Unifi will be converted to the Basic tier. Plans offered under both of the platforms are not affected by the pricing change.
