Kobe Bryant’s widow, friend win US$31mil in trial over leaked crash photos

Kobe Bryant’s widow and a family friend were awarded US$31mil (RM139.11mil) in damages by a US jury for distress they’ve suffered over the sharing of photos taken by emergency personnel at a helicopter crash site where their spouses were killed.

The federal jury reached a verdict on Aug 24 in favour of Vanessa Bryant and Christopher Chester after about four and a half hours of deliberations following an 11-day trial in Los Angeles.
