Now you can add stickers and more with WhatsApp desktop photo editor.
WhatsApp announced on Twitter that it has introduced a photo editor to the desktop version of the app.
Users can crop or resize attached photos, as well as add elements such as emoji, text or stickers before sending the image. Animated stickers, however, will just be static when pasted onto the image.
Based on Twitter feedback, it seems that some iPhone X users may have issues experiencing the feature due to a bug. Feature leaker website WABetaInfo in a recent post said WhatsApp has introduced a fix through an iOS 2.21.220 update.
The desktop photo editor feature was previously spotted by WABetaInfo back in August and stated then that the company will be rolling out the feature soon.
Apart from the desktop photo editor feature, users can now use their WhatsApp account on up to four devices simultaneously, without needing to keep their phone online, through multi-device beta.
The company explains that multi-device beta is an opt-in feature that give users early access to try the new version of WhatsApp for Web, Desktop and Portal. If they don’t use their phone for over 14 days, the linked devices will be disconnected.
Some features that are currently unsupported through multi-device beta include messaging or calling someone using a very old version of WhatsApp on their phone, and clearing or deleting chats on companion devices if your main device is an iPhone.
Users are advised to update to the latest version of WhatsApp for the best experience.
As for other upcoming features, WhatsApp is reportedly working on Communities where the admin may have advanced tools to better manage groups chats.
