Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari in a statement on the SISM40 website said eight Internet packages will be introduced under the scheme and eligible applicants can enjoy subsidies from RM10 to RM30 a month for up to two years.

It added that the state government will work with all 56 state legislative assembly offices to ensure that eligible applicants in the M40 category have access to the package.

The Internet plans offered under SISM40 are available in three categories: Basic, Family and Individual.

In the Basic tier, a monthly 100Mbps plan is being offered for RM119 (Normal Price: RM129) while a monthly 300Mbps plan that comes with access to over 70 channels on Unifi Plus box is priced at RM189 (NP: RM199).

Its terms and conditions also stated that if users decide to terminate their Unifi mobile subscription during the 12-month SISM40 rebate period, the Unifi home plan pricing will be reverted to the commercial rate and the plan will be renewed for another 24-months starting from the date of the change of plan.

Eligibility for the SISM40 plan is based on several criteria, including a monthly household income of RM4,800 to RM11,000. Existing Unifi Home users are not eligible unless they are still subscribed to Unifi Lite or Streamyx plans.
