Social media giant Facebook has started training its artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to understand different aspects of videos.

The company announced a new project on March 15, called the Learning from Videos, which is meant to improve the company’s “core systems” and “power new applications”. The company said it would help improve both its moderation efforts and recommendation engines for video.
