Waze has announced that users can now set Batman or The Riddler as their voice command for directions on the navigation app.
The feature, which is available until Oct 31, can be accessed through Voice & Sound on Settings.
Users can access the Waze voice directions by clicking on the sound icon on the bottom right after launching the app.
Click Waze voice and select English (US) The Riddler or English (US) Batman.
Users can also access Voice directions by clicking on the magnifying glass icon on the bottom left, then click on the round icon on the top left for Settings. Remember to set Sound On or Alerts Only instead of Sound Off or else you won’t be able to hear the new feature in action.
Under Settings, click Voice & Sound and on Voice Directions, click on Waze voice.
Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy who took on the Caped Crusader’s role in Batman: The Animated Series) can be heard giving instructions like warning users about traffic cameras and that the Batmobile (from Viva to Vios, Batman's voice on Waze will call everyone's car a Batmobile) must remain in stealth mode.
Meanwhile The Riddler (voiced by Wally Wingert of Batman: Arkham Asylum fame) will sometimes gives directions such as turn right and do a u-turn and then double back so Batman doesn't know if you're coming or going... which doesn't sound like fun if you're someone who really depends on Waze to get from point A to point B (which The Riddler will add the 'B' better not be Batman).
My friend Mr. Awesome just plotted a Waze trip to The Bronson Caves (used as the Batcave in the '66 Batman TV series!) and here's how the Riddler sounds! Sweet! Download it on Waze now, for a limited time! Batman Day is coming soon! pic.twitter.com/MS7atJkpUw — Wally Wingert's Wonderfully Wacky Word (@WallyWingert) August 31, 2020
Apart from the voice directions, users can also change Mood to a Batman or Riddler icon. Click on your Waze profile name and under the My Waze page, scroll to Mood.
Users can also go to Settings, click Map display and then click on Car icon to change it to The Riddler's racer or Batmobile.
