Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has set up a TikTok account with a profile that says "Still young".

His chedetofficial TikTok account currently has over 21,000 fans and 70 likes for one video so far.

Dr Mahathir posted a video doing the I'm Just A Kid Challenge with wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali in which they posed for a picture and then compared the image to one taken from when they were younger.

The video also seems to serve as a tribute to Dr Siti Hasmah as the couple celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary recently.

Dr Mahathir who turned 95 last month, is the latest politician to join TikTok. Former Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman also has an account with over 140,000 followers.

Apart from his TikTok account, Dr Mahathir also maintains a Twitter account with 1.2 million followers while on Instagram, he commands 1.6 million followers.

TikTok is popular among young users as it allows them to create short videos in which they can insert elements like song snippets or dialogues from movies. They can also add effects such as filters to the videos.

However, TikTok is under pressure to sell its business to a US-based company, as US President Donald Trump threatens to ban the app due to security concerns.
