LONDON: Hundreds of thousands of British children joined in an online live physical education (PE) class on Monday after the government ordered the closure of the nation's schools to curb the spread of coronavirus.

The lesson, hosted by well-known British fitness instructor Joe Wicks and plugged by schools and the media, attracted about 800,000 viewers when he streamed it live on YouTube.
