With Big Tech’s dominance under scrutiny, EU probes Amazon

BRUSSELS: While the US Congress talks about reining in big tech companies, Europe is taking action. 

The European Union said July 17 it is investigating whether Amazon uses data from independent retailers to gain an unfair advantage, a decision that could lead to changes in how the Internet’s biggest marketplace works.
