SHANGHAI: Chinese search engine Baidu, the country’s equivalent of Google, will make a strategic investment of up to US$600mil (RM2.09bil) in the popular but controversial US taxi app Uber, state media said.
Baidu has sent out an invitation to an event titled “Uber Press Conference“ at its Beijing headquarters on Dec 17, state-owned broadcaster China National Radio (CNR) reported.
