MITM Travel Fair 2024 will be held on Aug 2-4 at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

THE Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA) is organising the 21st edition of the Malaysia International Travel Mart 2024 (MITM Travel Fair 2024).

MITM Travel Fair 2024 will be held on Aug 2-4, from 10am to 9pm, at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The fair represents one of the most sought-after travel events for tour operators, national tourism organisations, travel agents and customers.

First held in 2001, the annual tourism and travel fair serves as a mega marketplace for different segments of tourism players in the industry to promote their attractive and affordable tour and travel packages to customers.

A total of 60 exhibitors, with 292 exhibition booths, are set to participate in the three-day event, as it is projected to attract 90,000 visitors from all walks of life and generate an estimated gross sale of roughly RM65mil.

Each visitor who spends a minimum of RM500 during the fair will be eligible to take part in an exclusive buyer’s contest and stand a chance to win attractive prizes – such as international flight tickets, cruise packages and entrance tickets – worth a total of RM250,000.

MITM Travel Fair 2024 will also feature numerous performances and entertainment events to delight visitors throughout the three-day fair. These include performances by both local and Chinese cultural teams, along with sharing sessions by various DJs and KOLs.

MCTA was established in 1992 with the aim of providing a platform of close collaboration among members to enhance the professional standard and image of Malaysian Chinese travel and tourism-related businesses in the country.

Currently, the organisation has 1,400 members with eight chapters established in Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Johor, Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan.
