INNER beauty is important and goes a long way in showing one's personality. So does jewellery.

Instead of being a mere fashion statement, each piece of jewellery one chooses to wear tells a story of the person and speaks volumes about who they are as individuals.

Whether it's a simple pair of earrings, an elaborate necklace or a bracelet, jewellery can make people feel amazing about themselves and also serves as a way of expressing one’s unique self and sense of style.

For English pop and Cantopop singer-songwriter Albert Au, who has been in the industry for over 50 years, jewellery demonstrates his suave style and burning passion for music.

The veteran performer from Hong Kong, who has dedicated his entire life to the entertainment industry, constantly opts to adorn himself with exquisite, yet subtle gems related to music.

“A guitar-shaped brooch from TSL Jewellery is one of my favourite pieces. It is pretty, delicate, classy and most importantly, it is a symbol of something I love,” he says.

Since his rise to fame in the 1980s in Hong Kong and China, Au has been celebrated for his relaxed yet soulful performances of folk songs and ballads.

With his exceptional guitar skills and pure, heartfelt vocals, he has become a driving force behind the folk song movement, earning him the well-deserved title of Prince of Folk Songs.

“My passion for music runs deep. I took up part time jobs related to music and began singing on TV since secondary school.

“Fast forward till today, I’m proud to say that I’ve persevered in my life’s passion while ensuring its quality. I’ve sung for 50 years, recorded over 100 original songs, and ran my production company for more than 30 years.

“I’m still actively involved in producing music programmes and hosting shows six days a week for the station back home. I hope to continue doing this everyday of my life.”

Au’s deep-seated passion, unwavering commitment and high expectations in producing music and keeping the industry alive, resonates with TSL’s dedication to creating exquisite gems.

“TSL and I share a common pursuit of perfection, meticulous attention to detail, and a relentless focus on craftsmanship,” Au shares during an exclusive interview at his private concert at the Pavillion Hotel in Kuala Lumpur recently.

The Albert Au Golden Classics Live In Malaysia concert was TSL’s effort to show appreciation for loyal customers who have given the company tremendous support throughout the years.

“I hope my singing can leave some good memories for Malaysians. I enjoy it when I see happy smiles and receive warm responses from the audience,” says Au, who prefers intimate, smaller scale concerts.
