Tennis-Djokovic stunned in US Open first round by Navone

NEW YORK, ⁠Aug 30 (Reuters) - Novak ‌Djokovic's bid for a fifth U.S. ​Open title ⁠and 25th ⁠Grand Slam crown ended ⁠in ‌a stunning ⁠7-6(5) 5-7 4-6 6-2 ​6-1 ‌defeat by Mariano Navone ⁠in ​the first round on ⁠Sunday.

The 39-year-old looked ​out of sorts for much of ⁠the match and suffered his earliest defeat ​at the ⁠tournament.
