PETALING JAYA: ShekhinahPR are marking its 15th anniversary with a RM15,000 sponsorship of the ShekhinahPR Junior Invitational Mixed Doubles, a junior competition held in conjunction with the CIMB KL Open Tennis Championship in Kuala Lumpur from July 28-Aug 2.

The sponsorship reflects their continued commitment to supporting grassroots sports development and creating greater opportunities for young athletes to compete and develop through organised sporting platforms.

Since its establishment in 2011, ShekhinahPR has consistently championed grassroots sports through initiatives that encourage youth participation and community development.

Among these initiatives include supporting Rawang BC’s junior badminton development programme for the past 10 years, partnering with SK Lemoi in Cameron Highlands for seven years to promote sports participation among Orang Asli students and collaborating with the Penang state government to sponsor sports equipment for 40 schools across the state.

Chief executive officer of ShekhinahPR Datuk Christopher Raj said the sponsorship represents another step in the agency's long-term commitment to giving back to Malaysian sport. "Reaching our 15th anniversary is an important milestone for ShekhinahPR, but more importantly, it is an opportunity to reflect on the role we have played in supporting the growth of sports in Malaysia.

"We believe investing in young athletes is an investment in the nation's future. Platforms like this are essential in providing competitive exposure, building confidence, and nurturing the mindset needed to succeed at the highest level."
