MS insist selection system for national swimming team based on merit

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysia Swimming Federation (MS) have reiterated that their selection process for the national swimming team is based on a merit system.

The national body said this in a statement in response to claims by former Olympian Marilyn Chua that her swimmers experienced a “toxic and negative” culture when they joined the national team and those who chose to continue training with their state, instead of joining centralised training in Bukit Jalil, were discriminated against.
