Eain Yow storms into Doha final

Ng Eain Yow advanced to the QSF 3 final with a strong performance in Doha on May 25.

PETALING JAYA: World No. 15 Ng Eain Yow advanced to his second final of the year at the QSF 3 event in Doha on Saturday.

Third seeded Eain Yow overcame fifth seed and world No. 25 Dimitri Steinmann of Switzerland 11-6, 11-8, 13-15, 11-6 in the semi-finals of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) world tour bronze level event.

The Asian Games champion had won his first PSA bronze level title, the German Open, in Hamburg last month where he defeated the Swiss player in the final.

Eain Yow had also reached the final of the QSF 3, which was then a PSA Challenger 30k event, as the top seed in October last year but was beaten in five sets by Qatar’s world No. 21 Abdullah Al-Tamimi in the final.
