Squash anxiously awaits monumental day after years of fighting for Olympics spot


IT was an announcement that got the squash community all abuzz. After more than two decades of persistent lobbying, squash may finally get to make its long awaited debut in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

The racquet sport is on the brink of getting accepted into the Olympic programme as the LA2028 organising committee last week announced their proposal to include squash along with five other sports — flag football, baseball-softball, lacrosse and cricket.
