Al-Amin wants whole nation to stand behind Olympians

Chef de mission Tan Sri Al-Amin Majid

The Rio Olympic Games are just around the corner (from Aug 5-21). Malaysia are quietly hoping for the contingent, led by chef de mission (CDM) Tan Sri Al-Amin Majid, to pull off one of their best Olympic outings and end their elusive chase for a gold medal. With expectations and excitement rising, the pressure is mounting too. All Al-Amin wants is for the athletes to enjoy themselves as they try to defy the odds in Rio. He wants the whole nation to stand by the athletes – whatever the outcome. That, he believes, is what embracing the true Olympic spirit is all about.
