(Reuters) -Tom Clarkson has been called up by the British & Irish Lions as additional front-row cover ahead of the first test against Australia on Saturday, the team said on Sunday.

On Saturday, hooker Jamie George received a call-up from the Lions, as cover for Luke Cowan-Dickie, while centre Garry Ringrose was also ruled out of the fixture with concussion.

Clarkson's addition would mean there are now 14 Leinster players in the squad.
