PETALING JAYA: The women's pair of Aleena Ahmad Nawawi-Syafiqa Haidar Afif Abdul Rahman settled for silver after they were beaten 0.5-1.5 by England duo Amy Pharaoh-Sian Honnor in the lawn bowls Commonwealth Games competition.
In the final at Scottish Event Campus, the Malaysian pair had lost the first set 4-5.
A 5-5 draw in the second was enough for England to secure the first of four gold medals at stake in the lawn bowls competition.
For Malaysia, it is the first silver medal for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
