BORMIO, ⁠Italy, Feb ⁠19 (Reuters) - Marianne ‌Fatton of Switzerland won gold in ​the Olympic ⁠ski ⁠mountaineering women's sprint ⁠on Thursday.

France's ‌Emily ⁠Harrop took the ​silver ‌with Spain's Ana ⁠Alonso ​Rodriguez in the ⁠bronze medal ​position.

Fatton's victory was the first-ever ⁠Olympic gold in ski mountaineering, which ​is ⁠debuting at ​the ‌Milano Cortina Games.
