A proud moment: The men's kabaddi team took the gold while the women settled with a silver.

BANGKOK: The national men’s kabaddi team have captured a historic gold in the SEA Games.

The team fought bravely to beat hosts Thailand in the 3 star event at Rajamangala University of Technology in Bangkok on Thursday (Dec 18).

Kabaddi is being held for the first time in the biennial Games.

The women’s team though agonisingly missed out on the gold after going down narrowly 22-23 to Indonesia in the final.
