Syafiqah punches her way to her first pencak silat gold

BANGKOK: Silat exponent Nur Syafiqah Hamzah won her first SEA Games gold medal on Sunday (Dec 14).

Syafiqah was crowned champion in the women’s singles final after scoring 9.960 points, narrowly edging out Brunei’s Nur Wasiqah Aziemah Rosihan, who finished with 9.920 points, at the Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok.
