Yoong siblings ride strong waves to waterski mixed team silver

BANGKOK: The national waterski team were forced to settle for a silver medal at the Thailand SEA Games on Thursday (Dec 11). 

At Rabbit Lake in Nong Chok, Malaysia, comprised of Aaliyah Yoong Hanifah, big sister Phillipa Yoong, and younger brothers Adam Yoong Hanifah and Aiden Yoong Hanifah scored a total of 260 points in the mixed team event. 

Indonesia emerged as the gold medalists as they scored a 280 total, while hosts Thailand took home bronze with 208. 

Meanwhile, the wakesurf team of Ayden, Ian Leong, Rachel Chew, and Low Yi Ning took home the bronze medal with their score of 128. 

Thailand clinched the gold medal with 240, while Indonesia took silver with 144.
