Thailand too strong for M’sia triples team at Asian meet final


PETALING JAYA: It was not a dream end for Malaysia as they went down 2-13 to Thailand in the Asian Championships at the Arena Petanque Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

The national junior mixed triples team, represented by Mohd Aidil Zakri Junaidi, Mohd Arsyad Mohd Tajuddin, Siti Noor Ellyshatul Balqish Suhaimi, and Nur Erissya Najwa Helmey, held Thailand 1-1 in the early ends before their rivals surged ahead by 6-1, and eventually stretched the gap to 10-2 and won the final.
