PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s junior team produced a stirring performance to reach the mixed triples final of the Asian Petanque Championships after overcoming Taiwan 13-9 in the semi-final at the Arena Petanque Kuala Lumpur.

The trio of Mohd Aidil Zakri Junaidi, Mohd Arsyad Mohd Tajuddin and Siti Noor Ellyshatul Balqish Suhaimi combined impressively to secure Malaysia’s only finals berth of the day, keeping alive the nation’s hopes of gold on the final day today.
