KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia won a gold medal at the 2024 World Dancesport Federation Macedonia Open on Monday through Cherry Yeo in the Women’s Latin Solo category.
The Malaysia Dance Sport Federation (MYDF) said Cherry displayed exceptional talent and gave an outstanding performance to impress the judges.
In a statement yesterday, they said the achievement has consolidated Cherry’s position as the world No. 2 in the Women’s Latin Solo category.
The MYDF said the team’s success would not have been possible without the support, dedication and guidance of expert coaches Chua Zjen Fong and Evon Chong from MY DanceSport Academy.
A total of 22 countries participated in the competition. — Bernama
