Youngsters dance their way to two golds in Germany

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian team delivered an outstanding performance at the Dancesport Festival by bringing home two gold and one bronze medals.

Cherry Yeo claimed the adult female solo latin event win while 17-year-old Yap Wan Xin won gold in the youth female solo latin category at the tournament held in Bremen, Germany from May 31 to June 2.

Wan Xin’s solo performance earned her the top spot and moved her up by five spots from eighth to world No. 3, while Cherry went up the ranks from world No. 9 to sixth.

Meanwhile, 14-year-old Kimberly Chew delivered a stunning performance to secure a bronze medal in the junior II Open latin. Her world ranking also rose from 189th to 43rd.
