Shahrom and Serena make superb comebacks in Ironman

PETALING JAYA: National triathlete Serena Yang (pic) could not have asked for a better outcome at the Ironman 70.3 Desaru Coast as she took the fastest Malaysian female finisher award after skipping last year’s race as she was pregnant.

While juggling motherhood, Serena only had a month to train full-time for the event in Desaru, and was shocked that she could perform as well as she did, crossing the finish line with a time of five hours and 31 minutes.
