Malaysia set 33-gold medal target for Asean Para Games

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia, despite the absence of three Olympic champions, have targeted 33 golds, 51 silvers and 58 bronze medals at the Asean Para Games in Cambodia from June 3-9.

The 2021 Tokyo Paralympics gold medallists Cheah Liek Hou (badminton), Abdul Latif Romly (athletics) and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics winner Ziyad Zolkifli (athletics) have decided to skip the event to give the opportunity for younger athletes to gain experience and achieve success in Phnom Penh.
