Rory strolls to second national snooker title

KUALA LUMPUR: Rory Thor Chuan Leong strolled to his second title in the National Snooker Championships at the Endah Promenade here last night.

The 25-year-old Rory proved too good for 18-year-old Inesta Lim in an all-Penang final. He won 6-0 (60-7, 66-17, 75-35, 69-41, 52-21, 61-48) in the best of 11 frames final to add to his 2009 crown.

Earlier in the semi-finals on Saturday, Inesta stunned Sam, the 1998 Asian Games gold medallist, 5-2 while Rory whipped former national champion Alvin Lian 5-0.
