Painful ending for Khe Wei and Vivian in NZ Open GP final

KUALA LUMPUR: Women’s doubles shuttler Woon Khe Wei felt a sharp pain on her Achilles’ heel tendon yesterday.

And noticeably, she was slowing down in the rubber game and together with partner Vivian Hoo, the top seeds went down fighting 15-21, 21-11, 19-21 to China’s Ou Dongni-Tang Yuanting in the final of the New Zealand Open Grand Prix in Auckland.
