Malaysian shuttlers fail to get past China in Asian Juniors’ semis

KUALA LUMPUR: It was a day of mixed fortune for Malaysia when they lost 1-3 to defending champions China in the mixed team semi-finals at the Asian Junior Badminton Championships in Gimcheon, South Korea, yesterday.

They had to leave out their top junior player Soong Joo Ven as a precautionary measure following a sore hand but the doubles pair of Darren Issac Devadas-Tai An Khang saved the blushes for Malaysia by stealing the solitary point against China.
