Noor Zafirah rolls down a double in lawn bowls

PETALING JAYA: Noor Zafirah Mohd Noor of Malaysia won two titles in the sixth Sime Darby Asia Pacific Merdeka Lawn Bowls championships held at the Bayuemas Indoor Bowls Stadium in Klang yesterday.

The national No. 2 player defeated Hong Kong’s Tammy Tham 2-0 (9-1, 9-4) in the women’s singles final before partnering Azwan Shuhaimi to win the mixed pairs event beating India’s Krishna Xalxo and Lovely Coubery 14-10 in a keenly fought battle.
