PETALING JAYA: Swimmer Daniel Bego ended his second World Championships outing on a perfect note when he smashed his 100m butterfly national record in Rome yesterday.
Daniel completed the two-lap swim in the qualifying heats in 53.33, shaving an impressive one second off his previous national mark set en route to taking gold at the Korat SEA Games two years ago.
